Lamont County scholarships now open for application

Applications are now open for students wishing to put their name forward to receive a Lamont County Centennial Scholarship.

The scholarships, awarded since 2005, award up to two recipients $1,000 to be put towards tuition fees for post secondary education.

Applicants must  show they are a resident of the County, have graduated within the past two years or be on track to graduate in the current year with a Alberta recognized high school diploma, have applied for studies at a recognized post secondary institution, and have demonstrated a commitment to the community.

The applications which should be received by the County by June 30, must include  a completed application form, which is available online at the County website, a cover letter, official high school transcripts and two letters of recommendation.

County residents Christian Nimchuk and Gabriella Wendorff were the recipients of the scholarships in 2025.
