On September 17, 2025, Viking RCMP arrested Bruce Lea Blyan, a 46-year-old male, on 24 warrants and 3 new charges related to person offences. Blyan, facing multiple charges across Alberta and Saskatchewan, was remanded in custody and is set to appear in court on September 22, 2025. Crime tips can be reported anonymously.

The Viking RCMP will monitor idle vehicles on public streets from January 20-24, between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Officers will educate owners about the risks of idling, except for remotely started cars. Sgt. Ray Stack also urges prevention of auto theft by not leaving keys inside vehicles and using remote starters.
