Strathcona County RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) have laid charges against a Sherwood Park resident following an investigation into allegations of sexual interference.
On Feb. 9, 2026, Strathcona County RCMP GIS received a report of sexual offences that allegedly took place between February 2015 and February 2026.
As a result of the lengthy investigation, on July 22, 2026, Strathcona County RCMP GIS, arrested and charged Carl Musial (59), a resident of Sherwood Park with the following:
- Sexual interference
- Invitation to sexual touch
- Sexual exploitation of a young person
Following a judicial hearing, Musial was released on conditions and will appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park on Aug. 12, 2026.
