Motorcycle season has arrived, and the Alberta RCMP is cautioning the public on the rise of Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMG) activity within Alberta.
Albertans should expect to see an increase in motorcyclists from these gangs on provincial roads, highways, and at gas stations, as well as a larger police presence, on weekends, when planned rides and events often occur.
Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club is expanding across Canada and throughout Alberta.
This expansion has the potential to cause conflict with other dominant OMGs, such as the Hells Angels. Albertans are encouraged to avoid OMG’s and areas with OMG activity.
The Alberta RCMP, along with its policing partners, is actively focusing resources on the mitigation of criminal activity from these gangs and will continue to monitor activity to help ensure public safety, and the safety of motorists on Alberta roadways.
If you see something suspicious, report it to your local police service. If you see a crime in progress, call 911. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store. To contact the RCMP non-emergency line within any Alberta RCMP jurisdiction call 310-RCMP (7267).
