Tofield Hotel residents evicted – Hazardous Materials Assessment confirms asbestos

Seven residents were evicted from the Tofield Hotel on May 5 due to asbestos and lead contamination identified in a Hazardous Materials Assessment report. Although the hotel claimed the third floor was free from contamination, Alberta Health Services mandated their evacuation ahead of the official deadline of May 15 for safety reasons.
