The Village of Waskatenau, Alberta is located approximately 100 km Northeast of Edmonton where Highways #28 and #831 intersect.
The municipality of the Village of Waskatenau is seeking a skilled, dedicated and self-motivated individual to fill a permanent full-time position in the Public Works Department. The successful candidate must be able to deal with both the staff and public in an effective and courteous manner while being judicious in the use of the Village’s resources.
This challenging position will provide an opportunity for general experience in all areas of Municipal Public Works operations. The successful applicant must be willing to work towards becoming a certified Small Systems Water and Wastewater Operator. The Village may assist the right individual in training and education.
The position will be responsible for duties related to the efficient operation and maintenance of all Village facilities, roads, water, sewer, waste disposal, parks, vehicles and equipment. Duties will also include ensuring all aspects of the Village’s operating licenses are met.
This competition will remain open until a suitable candidate has been selected.
