Barbara Ann Swanson was born June 10, 1947, in Hardisty, Alberta, the youngest of four children born to Lloyd an Rose Cameron. She passed away July 23, 2026, at U of A hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Dennis Swanson; son, Kent (Linda) Swanson; son, Devin (Andrea) Swanson; Grandsons Dillon (Sawyer) Newby, Dallas Swan- son, Ben (Jesse Hall) Swanson; Granddaughter Violet Swanson; one Great-Grandson Tate Newby; Brother Doug (Betty) Cameron; Sister Arlene (Allan) West; Sister’s in-law Myrna Swanson and Irene Swanson.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Rose Cameron; Brother, Keith Cameron and nephew, Steve West.
Funeral service for Barbara Swanson will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Hughenden Community Hall, 16 McKenzie Ave, Hughenden AB. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service, and a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held back at the Community Hall.
