Anna Alice (Feenstra) Harder

(May 9, 1962 – July 22, 2026)

Anna Alice (Feenstra) Harder, 64, passed away surrounded with love on July 22, 2026, in
Camrose, Alberta. She leaves behind a legacy of determination, kindness, endless capability, and love for her family
and friends who are family.

Born on May 9, 1962, in Drumheller, Alberta, to John and Dora Feenstra, Anna was the eldest of three girls. She valued her family and remained present with her sisters Ava and Laura into adulthood. Anna married Lyle Dietz in 1979; they welcomed two children, Robin Anne and Brent Curtis. Following their parting, she was married to Bill Harder on June 5, 1994, welcoming stepdaughter Sarah Kathleena into her life.

On February 24, 1998, Bill and Anna’s youngest child, Alexander William Harder, was born. Bill and Anna had 32 years of love, life, and adventures together.

Anna was the ultimate lifelong learner. She never met a stranger she couldn’t talk to, and she
gathered a diverse range of skills across a variety of jobs over her lifetime. Never one to stop evolving, she went back to university twice while raising her children first to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree and then years later to complete her CPA designation. Her talents extended far beyond her career as an accountant. Anna was equally at home farming, cooking, gardening, and sewing as she was tackling home electrical and plumbing projects. If she set her mind to a task, she figured out how to do it.

She also believed in serving others, volunteering in many capacities in her communities over the years throughout Galahad, Forestburg, Camrose, Saskatoon, Armena, Camrose, and Canmore. Traveling was something that recharged her soul and she had many travel adventures of varying styles over the years. Often Bill and Anna’s adventure’s included family and friends, however she also had a notable solo trip, hiking the Camino de Santiago Trail. Anna’s love for nature and animals was endless; she had a way with both. Her grandchildren were true lights in her life. She led her grandsons, Brock (16) and Nash (14), on many outdoor “Gran adventures.” More recently, her world was brightened by her young granddaughters, Lily (6) and Ella (3).

Anna is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Bill Harder; her mother, Dora Feenstra; her children, Robin (Scott) Dubitz, Brent (Kelly) Dietz, Sarah (Mark) Kuntz, and Alexander (Maisie Peel) Harder; her sisters, Ava and Laura, and nephew David; and her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John, her nephew, Thomas, and her beloved Granny, Alice McNamara.

To honour and remember Anna, think of her with a smile when you eat a piece of delicious pie, and when you say ‘yes’ to an adventure.

A memorial service celebrating Anna’s vibrant life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Hay Lakes Agriplex, 101 4th Ave North, Hay Lakes. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to the SPCA or to Days for Girls.
