Diane Lillian Cossey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Diane Lillian Cossey of Ross Creek, AB, on June 19, 2026, at the age of 80 years.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Terry; son Curtis (Colleen); daughters Leslie (Jason) and Carmen (Steve); grandchildren Corissa, Hannah, Summer (Ricky), Victoria, Xander, Rhett (Finley), and Chayse; sisters Nadia Canart and Terry Melnyk, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Steve and Mary Sadoway; and eight siblings: Zenon, Bill, Joe, Orrie, Jean, Leona, Steffie, and her twin sister, Doreen.

Some of Diane’s favourite things were spending time with her numerous friends, cheering on her grandchildren at hockey games, horse events, swimming, and track meets; watching her “damn Oilers” and the Toronto Blue Jays; but especially spending time at her beloved farm. She will now be Heaven’s favourite gardener and resident professional at the card game, Durak.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Tofield EMS, Strathcona Hospital, and the University of Alberta Hospital for their care and compassion.Diane’s Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lamont Recreation Hall, 4848–49 Street, Lamont, Alberta.
