Mary Kachur (nee Pullishy)
July 21, 1932 – April 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Kachur on April 13, 2026 at the age of 93.
She is survived by her two children, Kenneth Kachur and Roseanne Berube; grandchildren Sandra (Jeff) Van Hecke, Patrick Kachur, Michelle Berube (Mario Savoie), Matthew (Katie) Kachur, Daniel (Charissa) Kachur, and 12 great grandchildren, all who will miss her deeply. She is also survived by sister Eileen Purschke, and sister-in-law Ann Wachowicz as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wasyl (Bill) Kachur, parents John and Annie Pullishy and nine siblings: Mike, Dora, Lena, Jim, Joe, Nick, Adam, Rose, Helen.
Prayer Service will be held: Friday, April 24 th, 2026 at 7:00 PM and Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, April 25 th , 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (Star Peno); 564080A Range Rd. 193 Star, Alberta (one mile east and one mile south of Skaro Shrine on Hwy 45). Internment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to thank Rose and Charlie at the Fort Saskatchewan Care Community for their compassionate support and care as well as the staff at Fort Saskatchewan Hospital.
