On April 1, 2026, shortly after 5 p.m., Redwater RCMP received a report of a serious head-on collision involving two vehicles on Range Road 224, south of Township Road 572.
The 80-year-old driver of the involved SUV was declared deceased on scene.
The driver of the commercial truck was transported by ground ambulance to a hospital in Edmonton for non-life-threatening injuries, where he was treated and released.
Redwater RCMP, an RCMP Collision Analyst, Redwater Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services attended to provide their services.
The investigation remains ongoing.
