How’s our website doing doing?
The Lamont Leader’s relaunched web home at allcaribou.com is experiencing steady traffic. In the past 2 months, we have had 7,300 web sessions from 3,300 unique visitors. We hope to see the numbers continue to rise and return to the combined statistics that lamontleader.com, weeklyreview.ca, and tofieldmerc.com enjoyed each month when they were on their own unique servers. But, these things take time. Search engines have to begin to regularly index our content and in turn we must earn their trust. But so far we are delighted with the results. Especially because, due to no amendments to Canada’s Online News Act, Facebook continues to block and boycott Canadian media content. We cannot share our important community-minded content on Meta products, which severely impacts our web traffic.
