On Feb. 23, police received a request to conduct a check on overdue travellers. The complainant advised his wife and family were to attend a funeral in Viking. They did not contact the complainant to advise they arrived safely. The subjects were all located and the complainant was updated.
On Feb. 24, police received a complaint of uttering threats. The complainant advised of a youth uttering threats to his peers and of harming himself. This matter is still under investigation.
That same day, police received a complaint of a youth threatening suicide. The youth’s guardian was spoken to and provided some direction and information regarding additional resources for them.
That same morning, police received a complaint of a lost passport. The complainant advised he had lost his passport within the last four months. All information was obtained and the passport was entered as lost on the police system. The file number was provided to the complainant.
On Feb. 25, police received a complaint of a credit card fraud. The complainant advised that his credit card was compromised and over $14,000 of property was purchased through a business in Ottawa. The matter is still under investigation.
Later that afternoon, police assisted with a mental health complaint. The complainant advised a relative had arrived at her residence and is suffering a mental health episode.
The complainant later advised the subject had left and was to be returning to her residence in Camrose. The Camrose Police Service was advised of the complaint and that the subject may be returning to their area.
On Feb. 26, police assisted with a parenting order. The complainant advised that a subject named in the order was contacting her child through social media.
Police reviewed the order and determined there was to be no contact.
